McDuffie Marine History

The total approach to outdoor sports is something the McDuffies were born into. Bill McDuffie started the business in 1950 as a tire shop. He began carrying a few outboard motors, then stocked boats and branched into fishing and hunting equipment. Bill McDuffie dropped the tire side after a few years and moved into a larger building in downtown Lake City. His two children, Lee and Dal McDuffie, took over the business later.

In 1990, the McDuffies moved the dealership from downtown Lake City to a new building on seven acres along busy U.S. 90 just east of I-75 in order to meet our growing community's needs. Lee and Dal have since retired, trusting in Scott (son-in-law of Lee) and Casey (daughter of Dal) to carry on the McDuffie Legacy.

The McDuffies think of their business as a one-stop shopping center for anyone who fishes, hunts, boats, or runs all-terrain vehicles. McDuffie's stocks fishing tackle, hunting and shooting supplies, apparel, marine hardware & accessories, electronics, ATV accessories, along with a vast selection of boats and ATVs.
